The house was a short sale/pre-foreclosure and the dog had used the dining room carpet as a restroom. The subfloor was soft and rotten in the center of the dining room. The carpet and old subfloor pictures were too vile looking to even upload in the before picture. Good thing the camera can't capture smells... Used unfinished 2 1/4" select red oak flooring laid at a 45 diagonal in the living and dining rooms. Sanded with a puck type sander, and site finished with a water based polyurethane. Turned out pretty decent for my first flooring project ever!
